ZIBAN

ZIBAN is a branding project centered on Ang Ku Kueh, a traditional Taiwanese Hakka dessert shaped like a turtle shell, symbolizing good luck and celebration.

The project reimagines the dessert through stylized 3D modeling and materials, transforming the food into a playful turtle character. Through a short promotional animation and visual design, the making process of the dessert is presented like a magical transformation.

By combining cultural storytelling with modern 3D design, the project aims to introduce this traditional handmade dessert to a wider audience while highlighting warmth, craft, and joy.

The poster concept was inspired by the idea of magic, making the whole process of creating the dessert feel more dynamic. I used star elements throughout both the poster and the animation to maintain visual continuity across the project.

To keep the overall visual style consistent, I used playblast screenshots from Maya and placed shots side by side for comparison. I took notes on each frame to mark what needed adjustment before moving on to the final render.
