ZIBAN is a branding project centered on Ang Ku Kueh, a traditional Taiwanese Hakka dessert shaped like a turtle shell, symbolizing good luck and celebration.
The ZIBAN logo design integrates a top-down view of a blessing turtle with the Chinese character "米" (rice), utilizing a traditional pastry red as the primary brand color.
The poster concept was inspired by the idea of magic, making the whole process of creating the dessert feel more dynamic. I used star elements throughout both the poster and the animation to maintain visual continuity across the project.
The storyboard is inspired by the crafting process of this pastry: rolling the dough, wrapping the filling, and molding. The setting is envisioned in a traditional Taiwanese hearth kitchen.
I used Maya blend shapes for the dough animation to create various forms.
